Best place in terms of sushi quality. I am however not a fan of the change they made to the veggie fever roll. When we first started coming, the ingredients were partitioned so that each piece of the roll was different from the last. Now they are all combined and it leaves the taste kinda all over with no flavor being highlighted. The vegetable spring roll was nice, it was extremely crunchy (similar to that of an egg roll) and had a predominant onion taste which I prefer to the traditional cabbage filling.
What a GREAT restaurant. It's tucked away in a cozy downtown upstairs nook. The decor is beautiful. The Staff is very inviting, courteous, and prompt. The food was amazing. It was our first time, but I look forward to returning to explore more of the menu. Pricing and portions are very fair. We were beyond satisfied with our experience. Note - because parking downtown can sometimes be an issue, it might be a good idea to park in either of the garages, which are only one block away.
Let me start with their sushi which was one of the best in Frederick. I tried shrimp and salmon sushi which are favorite to our friends. I tried drunken spaghetti noodles with shrimp. It was not spicy and had little sweetness to it. Portion and texture were good. Atmosphere was good and good place to hangout either as family or just friends
I visited lazy fish a few days ago for the first time and let me tell you... it was GREAT! I order the Beef Bulgogi noodle soup. The broth is very flavorful with a kick of sweetness. I also ordered the sweet/spicy chicken wings they have on the appetizer menu and WOW so delicious! They were some of the best wings I’ve had in a long time. Super flavorful and decent size! I would highly recommend both dishes. My server was Mary and she was AWESOME! I will be coming back
Food was so good, I forgot to take a picture! The rolls were some of the most creative I've seen, including Michelin places, and the appetizers were creative too. My boyfriend raved about the uni, I had the lazy nigiri sampler which let you try six different types of fish with really great toppings. Staff was super knowledgeable and friendly too!
Had a nice chill atmosphere for a place that feels like a "hole in the wall". All the food looks great and fresh. Treated like absolute royalty when I showed up and the service was too notch. Definitely a good cost to experience ratio going on and I hope I can come back soon.
Perfect place to grab lunch! Food and service are top notch! Definitely coming back! Highly Recommend the dumplings and Tempura. My husband loved the Ribeye Bulgogi and the Sushi is delicious!
Incredibly beautiful atmosphere and everyone is so friendly! We got the Lazy Rangoons, and they were the best crab rangoons we've dvdr had! They were so crispy on the outside, and the soy sauce/spicy mayo combo drizzled on top was perfection! The main roll I ordered was the Bagel Tempura, which had smoked salmon and cream cheese on the outside, was tempura fried, then had spicy mayo and teriyaki sauce drizzled on top. One bite of that, and I was in heaven! I definitely am going back to try their Dragon Lady roll!
